Secure Site Silver Seal Installation Instructions
Terms of Use
You must install and display the Seal in accordance
with the VeriSign Secure Site Seal Licensing Agreement.
How It Works
When a visitor clicks the Seal, the Secure
Site validation page opens and displays information about the Web site,
your business, and your ISP. This information helps your customers to
know that they are indeed dealing with your business and not an imposter's
Web site. They also feel confident about passing sensitive information
(such as credit card or social security numbers) to your Web site.
How to Install
You will need to cut and paste the code below
to easily install the Seal on your site within minutes. It is recommended
that you install the Seal on your homepage and any other pages where
secure sessions are enabled to maximize the co-branding benefits that
you will receive.
Instructions
Add the following HTML to your Web pages to
make the Secure Site Seal a link to a pop-up window with your site validation
information.
You will need your domain name to "activate"
the Seal. It must be added to your page code in the following form:
domain.com
For example
verisign.com
Simply put the code below in the body of your
HTML where you would like the Seal to appear.
