Awards & Recognitions - MSS Provider of the Year
GUARDENT (NOW VERISIGN) NAMED 2002 MANAGED SECURITY SERVICE PROVIDER
OF THE YEAR
Network Magazine named Guardent (now VeriSign) as
a leading provider of Managed Security Services, as its 2002 Managed
Security Services Provider (MSSP) of the Year. The award, based on editor
nominations and customer, analyst and reader validation was presented
on May 8, 2002 at Networld + Interop Spring 2002 in Las Vegas. The award
was also highlighted in the May 2, 2002 issue of Network Magazine.
During January 2002 and February 2002, Network Magazine
editors evaluated and defined relevant categories in the networking
technology industry. Lead editors were assigned, according to their
area of expertise, to nominate potential winners. All editorial staff
members participated in the judging panel and editors consulted with
readers and active members in each vertical category to further explore
and confirm winners in each category.
The criteria used to judge Product of the Year Award
winners include the broad appeal of the product or service to the reader
community, competitive enhancements, price/performance advantages, technical
ingenuity, new features and applications and serviceability to the market.
