GUARDENT (NOW VERISIGN) MANAGED SECURITY SERVICES WIN "BEST OF
SECURITY" AWARD
Recognizing the critical importance of information
security to the success of e-commerce, the Massachusetts Interactive
Media Council (MIMC) selected Guardent (now VeriSign) Managed Security
Services (MSS) as the "Best of Security" winner of 2002. The
award heralded the security benefits of the company’s Security Defense
Appliance (SDA) for Internet-facing applications.
The annual MIMC Awards is the largest awards competition
in the country recognizing excellence in interactive technology applications.
The award ceremony was held at the Boston Copley Place Marriott on November
4, 2002 and attended by nearly 1,000 industry professionals.
The 2002 MIMC Awards were sponsored by Microsoft MSN®,
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, Bingham McCutchen LLP and Nixon Peabody
LLP. Over 100 industry professionals representing a substantial cross-section
of the Massachusetts business community judged the entries.
