Encrypting a message using Outlook 98
If someone intercepts your e-mail messages, they can read them relatively easily. The only way
you can be sure that your e-mail is private is to encrypt your messages so that only the person you
send it to can read it.
To encrypt a message, you need to have the other person's Digital ID. When you receive a signed
message from someone, you can save the Digital ID from the signed message, so you can easily
send them encrypted messages. If you don't have someone's Digital ID, you can either ask them to
send you a signed message or you can search for their Digital ID in a directory.
You can encrypt individual messages or configure your security preferences to automatically
encrypt all e-mail messages to recipients whose Digital IDs are stored in your address book.
