Subnet Modification Form

Please complete this form if you intend to change the subnets your company is using to access the VeriSign registry or the Registrar Tools. VeriSign registry guidelines stipulate that each registrar can have up to 3 subnet ranges with a maximum of 96 hosts for accessing the EPP production environment. The ranges must be written in CIDR format. We cannot accept any ranges below a /26 range (i.e. /25, /24, etc).

If your request exceeds 96 hosts, please contact Customer Service directly. Requests for more than 96 hosts must be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require authorization from the Customer Service Manager.

CIDR format dictates the number of hosts within each range. The ranges are as follows:

/26 = 64 hosts
/27 = 32 hosts
/28 = 16 hosts
/29 = 8 hosts
/30 = 4 hosts
/31 = 2 hosts
/32 = 1 host

VeriSign registry guidelines stipulate that each registrar can have up to 5 ranges with a maximum of 500 hosts for accessing the Registrar Tools. For accessing the tools, our normal CIDR policy applies, however, you may also request to add a /25 or /24 block.

All Subnet changes are completed on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. The modifications must be received and confirmed by Customer Service prior to 10 am ET on Tuesday or Thursday in order to have the modification completed on that day.

Customer Service will contact you via email or phone to confirm that the change has been completed. We recommend that you then test accessing the Production Environment from your new subnet range soon afterwards to confirm that you are able to connect successfully.
