Vulnerability Teams

The Vulnerability Aggregation Team (VAT) uses a rapid-response system to help ensure urgent notification of new vulnerabilities and exploits targeting more than 10,000 monitored applications, hardware and operating systems. Analysts are skilled in discovering vulnerabilities in critical business systems and also track security research in the underground.  
 
Contributors to the Vulnerability Contributor Program (VCP) work independently and notify VeriSign of unpublished vulnerabilities and exploit code.

Rapid Response Team

The Rapid Response Team (RRT) of security analysts and engineers are first-responders who work directly with Enhanced and Customized Service customers to coordinate discovery and mitigation. The team focuses on risk research and reporting related to global threats and emerging technologies and trends.

Malicious Code Operations Team

The Malicious Code Operations Team (Malcode Ops) helps VeriSign regularly discover new malicious codes and identify new attack vectors and threats being developed by malicious actors. The Malicious Code Lab reverse engineers and analyses exploit and malicious code.

Threat Analysis Team

The Threat Analysis Team assesses the motivation behind cyber attacks and hacker groups worldwide, and reports on related topics such as emerging threats, information warfare, cyber crime and critical infrastructure protection.
