NetSure® Protection Plan Coverage

The following list sets forth certain entities in VeriSign's Public Certification Services and other certification services and the types and classes of Certificates they issue. This list sets forth the Certificates and entities that are included within the NetSure® Protection Plan and those that are excluded. This list is made an integral part of, and is incorporated by reference in, the NetSure Protection Plan (the "Plan"), as amended from time to time. Defined terms shall have the meanings given to them in the Plan.

I. VERISIGN CERTIFICATES

A. "VeriSign Certificates" Within the Meaning of the Plan

The following Certificates are "VeriSign Certificates" within the meaning of the Plan.
    All Certificates Issued by the following Certification Authorities:
  • Class 1 Public Primary Certification Authority
  • Individual Subscriber Class 1
  • Class 2 Public Primary Certification Authority
  • Individual Subscriber Software Publishing Class 2
  • Object Signing Class 2
  • Individual Subscriber Class 2
  • Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority
  • Commercial Subscriber Software Publishing
  • Commercial Subscriber Object Signing
  • Secure Server Class 3
  • RSA Secure Server Certification Authority
  • CertAssure
B. Certificates that are not "VeriSign Certificates" within the Meaning of the Plan

Any and all Certificates not expressly identified in I(A) above are not "VeriSign Certificates" within the meaning of the Plan. Such Certificates include but are not limited to the following certificates:
  • All Certificates Issued by the following entities:
    • VeriSign Root
    • Persetel Class 1
    • Persetel Class 2
    • Toppan Secure Mall Client Class 2
    • Persetel Class 3
  • Demo, Free, and Test Certificates
II. NETSURE CERTIFICATES

A. "NetSure Certificates" within the Meaning of the Plan

The following table identifies the VeriSign Certificates that are "NetSure Certificates" within the meaning of the Plan and the Effective Date for each class and type of NetSure Certificate.

The Following VeriSign Certificates are NetSure Certificates - If Issued on or After the Following Effective Date:
VeriSign Class 1 - Individual April 14, 1997
VeriSign Class 2 - Individual April 14, 1997
VeriSign Class 3 - Individual August, 2000
VeriSign Individual Software Publishers Class 2 April 14, 1997
VeriSign Object Signing Class 2 May 27, 1997
TransUnion/VeriSign Class 2 May 11, 2000
Secure Server/VeriSign Class 3 - Organization August 18, 1997
VeriSign Commercial Software Publishers Class 3 April 14, 1997
VeriSign Object Signing Class 3 May 27, 1997
VeriSign Class 3 - Global Server September 1, 1997
VeriSign Class 3 - Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) June 1, 1997
VeriSign Class 3 - Open Financial Exchange (OFX) September 1, 1997

B. Certificates that are not "NetSure Certificates" within the Meaning of the Plan

Any and all Certificates not expressly identified II(A) above are not "NetSure Certificates" within the meaning of the Plan. Such Certificates include but are not limited to the following certificates:
  • Demo, Free, and Test Certificates
  • Certificates Issued by the Class 1 Public Primary Certification Authority to subordinate Certification Authorities
  • Certificates Issued by the Class 2 Public Primary Certification Authority to subordinate Certification Authorities
  • Certificates Issued by the Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority to subordinate Certification Authorities
  • Secure Server Class 3 Certificates
  • RSA Secure Server Certificates
