VeriSign's end-to-end Wireless Trust Services platform allows wireless carriers and service providers to offer individuals and businesses the authentication, secure payment, and validation capabilities they require to engage in wireless transactions with confidence. Carriers can now provide a secure mobile commerce environment for conducting authenticated logon, digitally signed transactions, digital payments, profile management, digital notarization, and digital receipting through a broad array of handheld devices and applications.

Wireless Authentication Services:
Easily issue digital certificates to millions of subscribers
With VeriSign's Wireless Authentication Services, you can easily issue digital certificates to all your subscribers. Certificates, installed on wireless devices, serve as online credentials that automatically identify and authenticate users when they log on to wireless services. Users of certificate-equipped devices can apply digital signatures to authorize wireless transactions such as stock trades, and can also authenticate wireless servers, reducing the risk of fraud.
Wireless Authentication Services, based on VeriSign's OnSite® system, give you control over certificate issuance and management through an intuitive Web-based UI. Start by creating your own branded enrollment wireless pages, on which your subscribers apply for certificates by providing identifying information in customized input fields. Enrollment information is routed to VeriSign, which issues the certificate after your approval. The certificate, or a URL pointing to it in an LDAP-compliant database, is then downloaded to the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) Identity Module (WIM) of the subscriber's device. You can use your customized interface for managing subscriber certificate lifecycles - renewing, revoking, or replacing them as needed.
The standards-based Wireless PKI Portal can run on any Windows® NT, Sun® Solaris®, or HP-UX operating system. The certificates issued via the Portal are compatible with SignText, Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS), and PIN code-based authentication, and integrate with any LDAP-compliant directory for easy access.

Wireless Payment Services:
Enable streamlined wireless payment processing and management
The wireless boom promises to make the cell phone or PDA the preferred method of payment for many services. VeriSign Wireless Payment Services gives wireless merchants and enterprises the ideal way to simplify wireless payments, allowing them to process and manage credit card, debit card, purchase cards, ACH (Automated Clearing House), and Internet check transactions for a fixed monthly fee, and providing all the necessary back-end connectivity among buyers, sellers, acquiring banks, and payment processors.
Customers interact with profile management features, which store frequently used payment details - such as credit card numbers and addresses - in a secure database server and then automatically presents users with onscreen payment options for completing a transaction with a merchant. Payment information is routed to VeriSign's WAP payment server database, and from there through the back-end payment processing system. Payments can be authorized in an average of less than three seconds.

Wireless Validation Services:
Archive notarized wireless transaction records for reliable accessibility
For any wireless transaction, the participants - buyers and sellers, customers and service providers - must be able to reliably document purchases to combat the risk of wireless fraud. VeriSign Wireless Validation Services enables you to provide transaction participants with the wireless equivalents of receipts and Web transaction numbers. Validation Services allow you to immediately verify your subscribers' certificates in real time using online certificate status protocol (OCSP). You can also digitally notarize transactions, providing a transaction timestamp and countersignature, and issue digital receipts to subscribers and wireless merchants. And making these records easily accessible facilitates dispute resolution.
