How To Sign Up

Step 1 - Enroll for your ACS Publisher ID

1. On the ACS home page, select the starter pack and click Buy Now.
2. Complete and submit the enrollment form. VeriSign Customer Support will process your order. If necessary, VeriSign may contact you to confirm your order information.

Step 2 - Receive and install your USB hardware token

1. Once your order is approved, you will receive an approval e-mail with instructions on how to pick up your ACS Publisher ID. 
   Important: Save this e-mail for future reference.
2. We will also mail you your USB hardware token with detailed instructions on how to install the USB token. Typically, you should receive it in the mail within 2-4 business days of your order approval. Follow instructions to install.

Step 3 - Pick up your ACS Publisher ID

1. Once you have installed your USB token, go to the web site provided in your approval e-mail to pick up and install your Publisher ID.

Step 4 - Access the VeriSign ACS Portal to upload and sign your files

1. Go to the ACS Portal.  By default you will have access to the Microsoft Mobile2Market (M2M) Normal and Privileged signing services.
2. Sign your application using the ACS Publisher ID. Select the signing service you want in the menu within the ACS Portal and then upload your application. The signing process is fully automated and real time for M2M Normal.  However, to have your application signed for M2M Privileged, you need to fill out this Request Form and upload with your application.  You will also need to submit your application to a Microsoft-approved Test House.  Your application may be signed after Microsoft reviews the form and the test results.  As soon as the files are signed by the Verisign ACS Portal signing service, you may download them for distribution. Further instructions are provided in a User Guide that is available online via the ACS Portal. 
   Important:
• You can access the ACS Portal only if you have a valid Publisher ID. If you do not have one, please enroll for a Verisign ACS Publisher ID. See Step 1 above.
• Steps 1 -3 are one-time only.  You will need to renew your Publisher ID yearly. Once you have your USB token with the Publisher ID certificate, you can simply access the ACS Portal to sign your files.
