Jones Lang LaSalle Announces VeriSign Will Lease a 405,000-Square-Foot Building at Woodland Park in Herndon, Virginia

Washington, D.C., Sept. 10, 2001 - Jones Lang LaSalle today announced that it represented VeriSign, Inc. in a transaction to lease Waterview I, a 405,000-square-foot office building located at Woodland Park development near the Dulles Toll Road in Herndon, Virginia. The property, owned, developed and managed by Tishman Speyer Properties, will accommodate up to 1,600 employees and provide for expansion options of up to 450,000 square feet on two adjacent sites. VeriSign currently leases space at eight additional locations in Northern Virginia and eventually plans to consolidate its Virginia occupancies at Waterview. The company is based in California with headquarters at 487 East Middlefield Road in Mountain View, California, 94043.

"After conducting a real estate master plan and subsequent site selection process, we chose Waterview because we believe it will provide a high quality, cost effective work environment for our employees," said Henry White, corporate real estate director for VeriSign.

Woodland Park is a carefully planned and preserved wooded tract of approximately 170 acres. The development will ultimately encompass nearly 4.8 million square feet of high-quality office space located in the Dulles Corridor. It also includes a 150-room Embassy Suites Hotel, 400 multi-family apartments and a child learning facility.
