Program Topics

Security and Stability for the Internet

Usage of the Internet is growing much faster than Internet users. While Internet users have quadrupled in the last six years, Internet usage as measured by average daily Internet queries has increased 1,900%.  As Internet usage and reliance on the Internet increases so do the threats and attacks that threaten the security and stability of the Internet.  Ken Silva will discuss Internet security and stability from his perspective as VeriSign’s Chief Security Officer.

New Directions for the Internet

VeriSign’s role in the Internet goes beyond domain name registration and resolution.  From our role as the registry operator for .com, .net, .tv and .cc, VeriSign has a unique perspective on the latest Internet trends emerging across the globe. VeriSign Vice President Raynor Dahlquist will share her thoughts on where the Internet is headed as well as the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.
