Consolidated TLD Platform - Customer Service Improvements
A Letter from Customer Service
To All Registrars,
As we get closer to December we wanted to share
important points that your domain support personnel should be aware
of post the December launch of Consolidated TLD onto the Name Store
platform.
One of the biggest changes that has been outlined
is business rule changes for tv/cc/bz will all now be in line with the
current business rules for the .com and .net tlds. This includes the
additions of registrar transfers for .TV domain names, the introduction
of the Redemption Grace Period, and Synch function for TV/CC/BZ. This
also includes an Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) program for .TV
and .CC domain names.
A great benefit to the financial support teams
is that now .TV has been brought into the channel account balance which
can now be viewed online in our new customer management tool.
The Name Store Manager
The purpose of the Name Store Manager is to
provide a simple interface for customers to enable the easy management
of multiple VeriSign Information Services products. This tool is similar
to the Com/Net Registrar Tool, however you will find the functionality
far exceeds the Registrar Tool in many ways. We look forward to bringing
.COM and .NET into the Name Store next year so your support teams can
take full advantage of this terrific tool.
Name Store Manager Functions
The Name Store Manager provides the following:
- Consolidated management
tool for TV/BZ/CC products (Create, Transfer, Update, Restore, etc…)
- Management of Registrar
account contacts and basic account information.
- Information on product
account balances online
- View into the pricing
of each product on a unit level
- A tool to create
Name Store Manager users. During the creation process, a User can be
assigned to a number of different Administration groups with variety
of access levels
It is our hope that these product enhancements,
business rule consolidations, as well as the Name Store Manager will
enhance your support experience for all products hosted on the Name
