Consolidated TLD Platform

In December 2004, VeriSign will incorporate three significant changes to the .cc and .tv interfaces that will require all Registrars selling these domains to update their systems. These changes will integrate the three ccTLDs to common business rules, reporting and management operating under the same universal umbrella as .com and .net.

While the changes do require development, we anticipate that the new interfaces will make daily management of multiple TLDs simpler and more efficient for our Registrars.

1. Business Rules Consolidated to One Standard Set: The business rules for .cc and .tv will be modified to match .com and .net.

2. Technical Protocols Upgraded to Industry Standards: RRP, EPP, and legacy interfaces will be upgraded.

3. Account Management Simplified: A new web-based Registrar tool (The Name Store Manager) will become available.

Timeline

VeriSign's primary goal during this transition is to make the upgrade for each Registrar as smooth as possible. Our schedule ensures ample time for each Registrar to prepare and implement the changes.

• Download the appropriate SDK
• Test the SDK in OTE
