As general manager of VeriSign's Web Presence Services, Mr. Wolford is responsible for all domain name registration services, value-added services and Web trust services worldwide.

Prior to his current role at VeriSign, Mr. Wolford served as senior vice president and general manager of the Registrar for Network Solutions, Inc., which was acquired by VeriSign in June 2000. Since he joined Network Solutions in 1997, Mr. Wolford has led the led the expansion of the NSI business across a variety of areas. These included the development and launch of NSI's multilingual domain names registration services and its first value-added products, including business-class e-mail, Image Cafe Web sites and the GreatDomains aftermarket service. In addition, Mr. Wolford launched the company’s first brand building efforts and pioneered the company’s reciprocal and affiliate marketing programs.

Prior to joining Network Solutions, Mr. Wolford served as general manager, Marketing for General Electric's (GE) Information Services, Inc., where he was one of the originators of GE Information Services' Internet Consulting & Services business. Previously, Mr. Wolford held leadership positions with the National Academy of Engineering and The Du Pont Company.

Mr. Wolford holds a master’s of business administration from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s of science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is an avid guitarist, sport fisherman and bison rancher.
