WebSite.WS Offers .ws Domain Names Through VeriSign's Domain Name Storefront

.ws registrants gain access to full suite of Web identity and e-commerce security services

San Diego, CA, Mountain View, CA, June 4, 2001 - WebSite.WS, the global solution for Internet addresses with the .ws (WebSite) top-level domain, today announced that VeriSign, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRSN) has begun registering .ws domain names on its domain name storefront at www.networksolutions.com. This move highlights the growing popularity of .ws, which has registered more than 150,000 domain names in more than 180 different countries to date, and reflects VeriSign's commitment to offer its 6.5 million customers the broadest selection of Web presence services in the industry including Web site creation tools, e-mail and digital certificates.

VeriSign currently manages 15.5 million domain names worldwide through its retail domain name service. VeriSign also will offer customers the ability to buy .ws e-mail addresses matching their new domain names.
