Overview
Live Earth wanted a way to actively engage and empower
a massive global audience. It turned to VeriSign for global SMS connectivity
and messaging applications including the creation of a custom solution
to manage all mobile messaging interactions and moderation, and delivery
of real-time integrated mobile campaigns. On July 7, 2007, 2 billion
people shared in the Live Earth experience via mobile phones, Internet,
television, iTV, radio, and in-venue concerts—VeriSign enabled text
messaging in 4 countries through 65 mobile operators—helping Live Earth
to receive millions of commitments to Answer the Call and make a change.
